random beanie photos (since it's ok) LOL
ok some "just because" photos!!! teehee
"i love my cooookie, and my cooookie loves meeeeee!"  maika takes forever, she eats like a dainty wittle goil  the beanies on the new carpet... which is exactly like the old one but without the stink and years of ground-in dirt! LOL dakotah is yawning, not roaring.  Imma sexy macho macho man... i love my baths!  daddy loves me because he lets me wash his spoon!  there shall be no licking of bowls without miss hoover present too:  proof that dakotah doesn't own any toys in the house "mom she stole it from me again, waaaaa"  the pathetic-looking bean... "no, you already had 4 walks today, mommy's tired now! go to bed!"

I know you had posted some pics of Dakotah as a pup, but I dont recall any of Maika... Has there been any? I love her coloring and Dakotahs size, two very very gorgeous Akitas (aka Beanies) you have there.

What regal dogs you have...my they are beautiful!!
and photogenic!!!! It's funny how big dogs can eat so gentley...my St. has to bite everything down to tiny morsals...personally I think he does it to enhance his drool..haha

Yay Beanie Pics!!!
Beanie pics are always okay TD   I love the look Dakotah has when Maika has the toy. Hunter gets the same look when Cassie steals his toy  Funny how the males let the females take over (Gee we must be bad parents not giving our boys enough toys to play with )

he he he since dakotah's bath, we can't stop petting him, he's soooo soft like a clean bunny and smells beautiful
maika needs a bath though, she's plush but could be softer if she were all clean. i :love: my happy bunnies!

TD, the beanies are gorgeous as always. Such hams. My Shadow (The Akita X) has no toys either - poor girl. And when she eats, if she eats, she has to inspect everything. Everyone was surprised and laughing yesterday when we had people over for lunch and someone offered her some fresh ham. She had to soooo slowly take it on the tip of her teeth, then drop it down on the floor and inspect it before she could pick it up and eat it. It was just a small piece too! Halo meanwhile was wishing for her to walk away from it....

My cousin's husky/samoyed cross was a very delicate eater, too. He gingerly took food from you-you'd swear he didn't have any teeth.
He usually took everything under the table to fully inspect it, too. If he wanted to save it for later, he took it outside and buried it. He bugged me for a cookie once (which was a key lime temptation cookie, which I knew he wouldn't like) and wouldn't take no for an answer, so I gave him one. He walked into the kitchen so I assumed that he was going under the table. Nope-I heard my family all laughing, so I asked what was so funny; Brutus walked straight over to the garbage and dropped the cookie in.  I TOLD him he wouldn't like them!

Sounds like a good enough reason for me to visit Montreal, lol.
I have met one akita before, he was beautiful, he received best in show at one of the dog shows here in Newfoundland. (Actually he looked a lot like Dakotah )But I would absolutely love to meet yours, they have renewed my interest in the breed, thats for sure! There are some conferences coming up at work, maybe one of them will take place in Montreal...I will have to keep my eyes and ears open.

HO, if ever you're in town you MUST let me know!
and the only "real" akita breeder in Newfoundland is Beardusk akitas, the owner Ed is a really nice guy and we met him and a few of his dogs here two years ago at a show, maybe it's one of his keeters that you met... although he breeds darker ones, no split masks like dakotah's. Good akitas are awesome, and bad ones spoil it for everyone... just like for all the breeds eh?
