New here......hi!
Wanted to drop a quick line to introduce myself.....I live in Ontario and am owned by 4 amazing dogs and 3 cats. I have 3 Border Collies and an Australian Cattle Dog and am currently fostering a Border Collie/Jack Russel cross.
My dogs either participate in now or have or are trained in Flyball (1st love), Sheep Herding, Dock Dogs and Agility. They range in age from almost 10 years to almost 2 years. Two of my four dogs are rescues (the two older Border Collies) and all 3 of my cats are rescues. I am also fostering a Border Jack that was taken out of an abusive home - he is 1 1/2 years old. We are working on basic training, attention, confidence, confidence and confidence again and has fit in nicely with my pack. |

Welcome to you and your menagerie, myboydallas!
And yes, pictures (lots and lots of them) are an absolute requirement. Must. See. Pics. No pressure, though. We'd never pressure a new member Nope. But we hint really really strongly...

Are here's Tag (my youngest Border Collie) jumping into our pool & the foster, Storm......he is the smaller one that is almost all white with the black ears and the black eye patch.....the one in behind is my female Border Collie, Charm.
If anyone is interested in Storm (BC/JRT X) please contact me off list - I will place him in a GREAT home, one where he will get LOTS of exercise and love (he is a real snuggle bug once he feels comfortable with you).....for those that do participate in dog sports or are interested in getting into dog sports, I think he'll do well.....but he has some baggage - he was abused (and he has obvious psychological signs of abuse).......but on the flip side, if I didn't already have 4 busy, nutsy dogs, I would keep him myself - without a doubt! He is VERY sweet and learns quickly - right now, he's learning how to be a dog and learning how to play with toys (I don't think he had much exposure to toys - he's not quite sure what to make of them) - he LOVES to tug, but didn't know what to do with a ball - now - he runs all over the house with one.......he is NOT a fear bitter at all and is great with other dogs (at least he has been with my pack including Tag, who is an intact male) has had exposure to my cats (I have three of them), birds (I have two of them) and had been in 2 different homes with kids and did fine with them. He does need some basic obedience training (we've been working on that with a clicker). He is crate trained, but will complain - I sternly tell him "wrong - no" and he stops. |

Correct - she is an Australian Cattle Dog - she is a bit smaller than the typical ACD (height is about standard, but she is very fine boned). She is our first ACD and if they all turned out like her, I would get more and more of them.....
