I missed this thread! But have really enjoyed reading it. OK, you all know I'm a poodle lover/owner. Not for everybody. You have to love the grooming, and I do. I have some respiratory problems and they're hypoallergenic. Perfect for a small yard in town. No odor, no shedding, active, loving, sensitive, intelligent little clowns. A size for everybody! Love em!

Mastifflover - That's the first pic I've ever seen of Buddy - he's handsome!!!

I would have to say my favourite is definately now a Pit Bull. Absolutely LOVE them!! I am very partial to Golden Retrievers as well... luckily one of Briggs' boyfriends is a Golden!!

My favorite breed tends to be whatever I have at the time.

During my teen years, it was a Pleasantly Plump beagle named Charlie:

During my college years, it was a Divinely Debonair Doberman named Duke:

Today in my 30's, it's a Masterpiece Mutt, named Loki! (Well, Pit/Boxer cross):

Lately I've been developing an interest for BullMastiffs. We've been debating getting a "friend" for Loki, and recently moved to a house where we have a lot of room! I have read that they are massive couch potatoes! Loki herself is a couch potato, and something similar is what we're looking for.

My favourite is pretty much anything with a short/sleek coat, but in particular, Weimeraners and German Shorthaired Pointers..

Hi Waggie, yes, they are mine. You want me to tell you about my dogs?? We could be here all day!!!
That's Wilson on the left (german shorthaired pointer) and Isabella (Izzy) on the right (Weimeraner). Wilson is 10 months old today, and Izzy turned 1 last month. They are the BEST of friends, all the do all day is sleep, eat and play! They have never had an argument and fingers crossed it stays that way!
They have the loveliest nature's, although they can be very active, they both love jumping on the bed in the mornings on the weekends for a sleep in!

I just love them!

Hey Waggie,
We got Izzy first, we got her by accident (well, kind of an accident). My husband has ALWAYS wanted a German Shorthaired Pointer, and when I called around looking for puppies, one of the breeders also bred Weimeraners and she just happened to have 2 litters (one longhaired and one shorthaired)that were ready to go, so I begged my husband just to go and have a look at them, he didn't have to get one if he didn't want to. But they were all so cute, he just couldn't help himself. Weimeraner's are the most beautiful puppies, I've attached a pic of Izzy when she was about 10 weeks old. The reason why we got Wilson soon after is because we felt bad leaving Izzy at home by herself when we were at work. She hates being alone and started to become very destructive, she ate ALL my plants and was digging holes next to the house (I think she was trying to get in). Now that we have Wilson, we have a running track around the outside of our yard!!

I would love to introduce my two to Chocolate and Honey, I think they would LOVE chasing eachother!! But I don't think I can bring my puppies to Toronto for a holiday from Australia!!

No favourite but I sure love my Golden Retriever and Shih Tzu I have now. I love all dogs, between my mom and 2 sisters and brother we have 13 dogs. All shapes sizes and all loved the same.
Many from shelters only 4 from breeders.

Oh how beautiful! My sister and her family are going today to pick up a Weimeraner puppy from Georgia. They're going to name her that too except spell it Jorgia.....or something like that...lol

I LOVE THEM ALL!!!

Yet, in my experience I love my late gentle, sweet, intelligent Suzy (poodle)... she was great. However, I must say that no dog has ever made me laugh like my American Pit Bull Terrier... especially with all they go through- they are very special to me. I am so happy I ended up with this breed, I really needed a 60lbs. and growing pup who thinks he's a lap dog, makes me laugh and smile constantly, loves to do tricks, and is a well rounded sweet baby boy.

I wish they could have met
