I just got back home. I saw her once (around 10 am) but as soon as she saw me she took off running the other way! I spoke to the bylaw officers too. She's sooo shy, she's going to be hard to catch, i think. But at least she's alive, in relatively good shape, and still in the area.

I'll go back later (my shoes and feet are soaked, this is a very wet field).

I went back for a bit but didn't see her. A live animal trap was set up in the field where she's been hanging out, with a steak in it. Hopefully, she'll be hungry enough to go in it

I'll let you know if I hear more

Latest update
"Pierre, the By-law officer for the City of Ottawa set up a trap at approximately 3:30 p.m. this afternoon and loaded it with steak. He is confident that they will catch Maddie within a couple of days. I have told Pierre that I will pay for boarding when she is caught until transport can be arranged."

I will post again when Maddie is caught - which I'm confident SHE WILL BE.

I am so affected whenever I hear of a husky that is lost, mistreated, neglected, etc. If there was some way I could help I would be there. I really pray that Maddie is captured safely.

How long can she be without food???and it's getting cold and miserable outside:sad:
I wish she knew how many people are rooting for her..it must be heartbreaking seeing her and not beeing able to bring her to safety..

No sighting since Tuesday around 10am. They are going to try to put bacon in the trap as it's very smelly and hopefully it will entice her.
