I used to puree whatever, then put it in ice cube trays. When they were frozen I put them in freezer bags, depending on how fast I was going to use them up.

My mom said she pureed everything they ate and gave it to us as kids. If they had steak, baked potatoes & carrots, it all went into the blender (baby-sized portion) and it all went into our bellies. This way it was all mixed together (I'm sure it looked nasty, but we didn't care), and we never developed any picky-eating habits (well, at least until we were older).
Not sure if she did it in the food processor or blender, but it might have been a combination, depending on what she was feeding us. I don't really expect that it'd be a big problem if you did this to a good-sized portion and just kept it in the fridge--like leftovers, it'll keep for a few days. Here are some links for you as well: http://www.co.mohave.az.us/WIC/HomemadeBabyFood.htm http://homecooking.about.com/library.../bl091997a.htm http://www.umext.maine.edu/onlinepubs/htmpubs/4309.htm Hope that helps. I used to do carrots and apples together, three parts carrot to 1 part apple. Kids loved it. I put in icecube trays and froze then popped into freezer bags. I would make soups and puree the veg, noodles with a bit of the broth... as was said, almost anything we ate the kids got in baby form. It helped for later as now they are not at all picky eaters.
