tattoos/piercings?

i got my first tattoo about 17yrs ago and newest one 2 weeks ago. i have 2 more planned for the near future - one of which will be a cover up over my first tattoo....not that i hate it, just has zero significance to me and i prefer black and white tatts, and this old one is coloured.

i have 15 piercings - nothing crazy freaky, as i work for the police...all of them are subtle, dainty and pretty, or hidden!
and i have a few more planned

curious if anyone else has tatts or piercings? what and where?

cheers!

Probably the only teenager on the planet like this but, no piercings or tattoos and no interest in them!

My mom has a few tattoos... and her tongue pierced! Personally, for tattoos I fear regretting it down the road and piercings terrify me. No interest in putting any holes in my body. hehe

they certainly arent for everyone kathryn! but piercings dont hurt nearly as much as i thought they first would!

that would be such a beautiful portrait tatt cathy!

i am getting a black and white and grey iris tattoo in portrait style on my shoulder - its my birth month flower.
i just got a pisces symbol behind my ear (not the fishies, but the kind that looks sorta like a fancy H).

what kinda piercings do you have aslan?
i like different/unique ones. 2 of which are the nape of my neck and another is a microdermal implant gem between the girls! that micro dermal one had to be taken out a month or so ago as part of it was rejecting but the second it heals, i will get it done again! loved that one!

I've got one tattoo and want another one, cat themed of course. I had my navel pierced but when it was healing I snagged it on a blouse and it stretched it slightly, so it doesn't look right and I allowed it to close.

okay...i will give you that! haha! let me rephrase....piercings only hurt for a wee lil bit! unless, of course, you snag them on something or get a comb stuck in one! i did that a few times with the neck piercing! owie!

i had my navel done eons ago - maybe when i was 18. my sister-in-law did it with an ear piercing gun! holy!!! did not do well at all. i then let it heal and got it done properly. but for whatever reason, when i got it done, i wanted it off centre. i think now i will let it close and get it re-done....but i want a lower navel piercing rather than the traditional top of navel piercing.

I had the bar. I might have been better off with a ring. When it healed, there was very little skin between the bar and it just looked terrible. Bah!

I considered one of those, but I've never seen one and wasn't sure how it would look.

i think they look really good!
i also think they are more pratical too - if you have a dangly thinger on it, it hangs below your belly button and doesnt get stuck in your belly button.

Yeah, when I had mine the dangly part would always sink into my belly button.

Post a photo when you get yours done.

at one point I had a total of 14 peircings. Now I only wear one all the time, the others have pretty much grown in.
No tats, but it's not off my radar. I keep thinking some kind of flower for some reason, something in full colour... like this, only smaller: http://tattoonow.vo.llnwd.net/o25/Ch...y_Tattoo_M.jpg

I had 4 tattoos , had 2 taken out by laser , mostly because of work (they were on my arms , one chinese dragon that went from my shoulder to the middle of my arm and a black widow on the other shoulder) I miss those tattoos , they were gorgeous  the 2 remaining are on my anckle and on my back. The one on my back looks like a cartoon , but it's the most important one to me , it was my friend's signature , he died of cancer in 2004.

I only have my ears and navel pierce , not planning on getting more

I have only one potential tattoo in mind, just kind of to have the 'experience' of getting one done. Some kind of pawprint design.. in a discreet place. Probably my ankle. I don't want to get anything done on my arms as 95% of the time I am wearing short sleeves for work/volunteering and don't want any tattoos to effect me getting a job anywhere in the future. My friend has a pawprint on her wrist, but I'm not willing to get any work done there

Other then that, I applaud you all for not being scardy cats like me I'm not afraid of needles at all, but shriek at the thought of getting anything done... teehee

I'm glad to hear a youngin think this way. I had many done as a teenager and regret most of them today. The first few were done on dares and the others were just a fad. I've only had one done in my adult years (about 6 years ago) and it's the only one I don't regret.

Tattoos fade, get distorted, and look plain ugly if you've got them in places that, um, stretch. Ever see a tat with stretch marks through them ? I always told my little sister and my nieces to never ever get tattoos in places that tend to stretch on women, especially during pregnancy. It's not usually something young girls tend to think of.

Each of my ears have been pierced three times but I don't wear earrings . Had my naval done too but decided to remove the ring after getting stabbed by it every time I sat down .

That's basically my main reason for not getting a tattoo. I told everyone that when I'm a wrinkly old woman that the tattoo from when I was 18 probably won't look nearly as attractive when I have to stretch my skin out just to find it or something like that.

Only have one piercing, my navel. Got it done before a concert when I was 19 I think. I'd only be interested in getting my ears pierced if I have diamond earrings to fill the holes

Not sure about tattoos yet, but feline or astrologically related sounds good!

I am going to be a wrinkly, old colourful woman.

I have full sleeves, and a backpiece. I have a tattoo beneath my hairline on my forehead.
I have had my ears scalpelled and tons of piercings, but find my nose piercing is the only one that has stayed the course.
I work in private industry and have not had an issue with my tattoos. I am discrete and don't show them often, but when I do- only positive comments.

8 piercings, two tattoos.

Got plans for a large back piece and two others which are probably going on my feet. My two current tattoos are on the backs of my calves and are matching/complimeenting pieces. Going to run the same theme/idea for the feet. I have to find a window of opportunity to get them done though - I play roller derby and two weeks off skates to let them heal sounds awful right now
