Masa harina

Anyone know ANYWHERE that sells Masa Harina in the GTA by chance? Or a good mexican/southwestern grocery store? I love authentic mexican food and wanted to try making real corn tortillas, but need the Masa Harina (it is fresh ground corn flowers that is still moist and not dried like regular store stuff)

I don't think you can send that by mail as it's a fresh food product right? Isn't it considered perishable?

Isn't it a powdered mix to make tortillas? At least that's what I've seen in the stores. Similar to pancake mix -- just add water!!

I thought it was wetter than that? More like a wet clumpy powder. I dunno.

I am searching the local yellow pages here to see if I can find one near me, and if there is no luck, I will let you know.

Is there anything particularly Canadian you would like to try that I could ship you??

That's really not necessary, I would be happy to get it. But actually there is one thing that did come to mind.

Do you have an Ikea near you? We don't have one anywhere near us. Anyway, I saw that Byrd posted a picture that had her dog with an Ikea ball that can't be broken. I would love to find out if Jesse could break it or not. We can't give her tennis balls because she destroys them within three minutes. She'll fetch for a little while (if you can call it that -- we throw, she gets, then we chase her trying to get the ball back). I've tried a softball from my childhood -- gone in less than a minute. I thought the seems were pretty strong. She even rips apart the heavy flossing/dental ropes. We got her a new one today and about 10 minutes after she had it, beat herself with it and chewed on it, she spit up a bunch of the string. So if there is an indestructible ball out there....
