Exclamation Now Missie is Sick

OmG Missie barfed in bed lastnight. I relived Sophie all over today. I stayed up with her all night and she only vomited once. I am thinking this is good. Then she comes down stairs and poops. Not good she never does this. She wouldn't go out with me this morning so I left her inside. I came in with Tyra and I saw another poop at the bottom of the stairs. No biggie I got to clean it up and it is almost all blood. I freak .. So off to the vet I go at 3 today. I am so scared right now.

It's always one thing after another with our furbabies. I'm keeping positive thoughts for Missie. I can imagine how you're freaking. Let us know when you're able.

Well little Miss Missy is quite sick. She has a high fever and the bloody poop the vet thinks is like colitis. Caused by something she was exposed to. Husband just got a big dose if crap right now. I keep telling him do not take the girls out of our yard. He takes them all over the place. So she is on two kinds of medication and we will see how it goes in a couple of days. Since the loss of Sophie is still so fresh in my mind and soul right now I can not fathom losing another pet.

I know nothing about colitis, but am hoping it is cureable and Missy will be back to her normal cute little self in no-time

My cat had colitis once, same symptoms. He recovered. The medication really cut his appetite so if your doggie isn't as hungry, it's probably the pills.

My dogs both had chronic colitis for years. It is scary to see blood in their poop, but try not to freak too much.
If it becomes a recuring problem there are lots of diet changes which can really help or solve the problem entirerly.

Now Missie has not gone for a poop yet. Talked to the vet and he says not to worry it;s the medicine. If she has not pooped by tomorrow she is back to the vet in Monday. Listened to her tummy tonight and there is a lot of activity in there. She is feeling better though, she kicked Piper out of bed this morning.

Shaykeija, I just read about your post, and so sorry to hear about Missy. Hope she's had a poop by now. If there's lots of noises coming from her tummy then that's a good sign. Keep us posted.
