Calling all dog lovers missing dog we need your help desperately

I am trying to help someone find their Dads dog. Her Father has Alzteimers and lost his Dog on Oct 29th, 2009. He left his Daughter and she saw him travelling up the 400 hwy towards his home. I believe his daughter said he lives in Haliburton. He told her he got lost and thinks he ended up in the Toronto area. We are unclear on this as he is having trouble remembering. He is just sick about losing his Dog. Please Please help us get his dog home. I have a direct link to Craigslist with a picture of the dog. He is a Golden Retreiver, not neutered, orange collar with his name Gage on it. Very sweet boy, approx 2years old. If anyone has any info Please get in touch with me or through the link on Craigslist. I really want to help them find this sweet boy...

I dont know how to go about getting the word out but I remember a few weeks back a dog was missing in toronto that was visiting from Boston and they found him! I dont know what websites to try. I think the ones who lost the other dog went to dog walking sites, I have no idea where to start.

Any help would be soooo appreciated. Lets get the word out about Gage!

Golden Retriever in Richmond Hill

Date Found: 2009-10-30
Area: Bayview/Major Mackenzie, Richmond Hill

Around 1 p.m. today my mother encountered a large male Golden Retriever in a small park on Frank Endean and Major Mackenzie. He had no collar and no tag. I have contacted Richmond Hill's animal control and they have come and taken him to there facility. If this is your dog please call (905) 898-7122. They will keep him for 4 days and then will begin the process of adoption. He was very sweet and got along with my border collie, a real gentle giant.

I called Katie, her Father owns the dog and she did call about the above dog. I also contacted the person who found the dog in Woodbridge and they were able to find the owner. So so far nothing, but you have all been such a great help. Now Katie is thinking her Dad has taken the collar off but cant be sure. Thanks again, Leanne

Still nothing on Gage. Katie is beginning to wonder if perhaps someone has kept him. Her concern is if Gage is being looked after. Her Father is beside himself as he cannot remember where he lost him. It could have been anywhere from Toronto up to the Haliburton area....So sad. Wish we could find him...Thanks so much for your help
