Old age or is something wrong?

In the last month, Forest has peed 3 times, whenever he gets scared. He has never done this before, even when he acted out when we brought Gizzy home last March.

Basically what will happen is, he will be doing something bad and when I catch him all i do is scruff him and put him on the couch where he gets a talking to. And he just starts peeing. Like sudden loss of bladder control.

Last night, he was on the counter (something he never does) trying to get food, usually if he is still hungry he will meow and I give him some. No meowing last night, just making a mess on the counter and decided to take things in his own paws. When I heard the noise I went to investigate. When I got a hold of him, his pee landed on the purr pads, but soaked thru to the couch

Could this be old age, or is something seriously wrong? I cant keep getting soo worked up over this to the point it makes me can someone help plz?

Scruffing, moving your cat to a couch and perching him there so you can scold him is not an effective (or very nice for that matter) way of managing the situation. By the time he's off the counter he has no idea why you're dragging him off and yelling at him. I'd probably be scared and pee on your couch too. Next time try a spray bottle of water.

What is a "purr pad"?

Regarding the peeing...as he gets older, his muscles do get weaker and he just may not be able to hold it in any longer when he is scared!

Forest will be peeing because he is getting older. He is also reacting to your raised voice, anger, and being scruffed. Improper scruffing can cause internal bleeding and/or choking. It should not be done past kittenhood unless in extreme emergency.
You could use the spray bottle, try picking him up gently and saying no in a firm voice, not loud, firm. There is a huge difference. Past the point of putting him gently on the floor after correctin Forest has forgotten what he did.

14+ is right, it can also cause pulled and torn muscles.
