Royal Canin Puppy 33

Hi, our breeder currently has the pups on this food; mini-shorthaired daxies. We will be getting Mooshie, our male puppy in a couple of weeks and will likely stay on this regime untill Mooshie is 10 -12 months old. Royal Canin also make Daschund for adult puppies. I was just curious on other peoples opinions on this food?

Royal Canin is very pricey for nothing in my opinion... it's still a puppy food full of grains... if you are willing to pay that much for food you should look for grain free kibbles... Our lil english bulldog is on Orijen for puppy and he his doing great!

Royal-Canin is not one of the better foods by far. There are many different foods available that are much better quality.

Does anyone know of a pet supply store, in the Ottawa area that carries Orijen for puppy? I've checked on the Petsmart site and they don't seem to carry it.

I live in a small city in nowhere manitoba and we have orijen here, and wellness, you should be able to find it. Royal canin is too expensive for what is in the bag, you can get better for similar price, read ingredients list, if it says corn, leave it at the store! Good luck with your puppy!

Good that's Ginette's store and she'll give you great service and advice when you need it. She's very rescue friendly too!

When you switch him over make sure you do it gradually to help him adjust to a better quality food. If his stools are a little loose then try adding a little plain yogurt to his meals. Get the kind that only lists "milk ingredients and active bacterial cultures" on the container.

Orijen and Royal Canin

For the person looking for Orijen pet food, Global Ryan's Pet Food sells it. There are several locations in Ottawa, but the best place seems to be on Bank Street near the Glebe. The owner there is a sweetie and helps you to your car with your purchases. It is right beside Ten Thousand Villages and Bridgehead.

Cheers!
