Apple Pupcakes

Thought I'd share my dogs favorite treat. Apple pupcakes! Be sure to freeze/refridergate them about 3-4 days after making them.
These are good enough for us humans to eat too.

Fresh Apple Pupcakes
2 3/4 cups water
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup fresh cut apples sliced into tiny cubes (or dried apple chips)
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 egg, slightly beaten
4 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray muffin tin with nonstick spray. (I forgot to do the spray, you MUST do it or they will stick to the bottom)

Mix all wet ingredients thoroughly. Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl. Add wet to dry slowly, scraping well to make sure no dry mixture is left. Pour into muffin tins. Bake for 1 1/4 hours or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out dry. Store in a sealed container. Makes around 12-14 cupcakes.

I left some plain, others I topped with peanut butter and newmans own organic cheese treats.
