we've had a dyson for nearly 2 years now, the basic ball model.
we really like it! we've not had any problems with anything breaking, though we live in a small 725sf condo. it is possible that it may not be as hardy if used in a large space on a regular basis... i don't know! since we've had the felines, we've been impressed with how much hair it picks up. with the vacuum and the dryer constantly filtering cat hair, i think our home looks pretty good considering we have two energetic young cats
