I've never seen a totally black Mal, but I suppose it's possible. My dog used to do that to me when she was a pup, up until about 2! She stopped pretty much when she discovered that Mom would side step just before she'd get to me...takes the fun out of using me as a launch pad! He is a gorgeous boy for sure!!
