Very interesting but I'm too lazy to look up how to avoid exposure to common radioactive elements (other than not living near a reactor ).

How about we make a list here of objects to avoid in our daily lives (ones we can control anyways) or how to better protect ourselves?

I can think of tv's (sit further away from them?), computers (I think I've seen screen covers? Do they exist for laptops?), microwaves, cell phones (I don't have one so no bother for me)...what else? I know that for radon in the home, there are radon detectors one can get at a hardware store. But if the levels are high? What to do?

Anyone else with suggestions?
