We currently have 4. None of them have had cherry eye but it does happen. Some vets will tack and if that doesn't work then they will remove it. Others remove right from the start. You will also get corso breeders who know there is cherry eye in their lines and they have tried it all with their own dogs so they do recommend removal from the start.

There are vets that still do the removal so your vet is lying to you. And you have certainly given tacking it a fair go at this point so if your current vet isn't willing to remove I would look for another vet that will.
