Some years ago I had a somewhat similar thing happen with one of my neutered males. He had had a couple bouts of crystals, and then one time he couldn't pee at all on his own. After treatment at the vet he was send home and again blocked up. Back to the vet again, but this time it was discovered he had a tumor. At that time it was considered inoperable, and sadly he had to be euthanized. I'm assuming your vet checked for a tumor?
