Here in the US, Cherry Eye surgery is around $300 and a spay between $200-400 in various parts of the country, so your quote sounds about right for both of those surgeries. I don't know how comparable that would be in Canada though. Jelly developed cherry eye at 5 months and we were going to do the surgery at the same time as her spay as well. I was quoted $700 for both, but fortunately for us, her cherry eye wasn't that bad and went away on its own and so far, hasn't come back. Whatever you do, make sure you go to a vet that is not going to just cut it out because it can cause eye problems later on (dry eye). Make sure they stitch it back in. I have seen a lot of bad cherry eye surgery problems on rescue dogs with really bad dry eye and with needing daily eye meds for life because a vet took the cheaper, easier way out and cut out the cherry eye as a quick fix.
