Do you think she's in pain? What a nightmare. I would agree with getting a lawyer, maybe you could find one who has dealt with pet issues in the past and doesn't insist on money upfront.
If what you suspect is true (beating on their clients), this place needs to be shut down, if only by bankrupting them.
