My experience with IBD is with my dog but just in case it helps you, here goes. We were afraid we'd lose him. Traditional western medicine was not working and he lost over 20% of his body weight. His poops were like a fire hose and he became quite weak. We are now seeing a holistic Vet who uses accupuncture and Chinese medicine on him and it's working. We are feeding him a recovery diet of ground turkey and sweet potato. Our regular Vet said we should go try this before our Lab got too weak to recover, nothing he did worked. Worth a try for you?
