Papillomas or mouth warts.

I currently foster 5 rescue dogs for 3 different groups. Rocco a 8 y/o boston terrier came down with the papilloma virus 2 months ago. This is how they looked when first discovered.


He was on medication that suppressed his immune system to treat pemphigus. Well the poor boy had no reserves to fight off this virus. Within 2 weeks they had grown to this size.
http://i362.photobucket.com/albums/o...cco/pic005.jpg They showed even with his mouth shut. We started him on Azithromycin 250 mg 1 /2 a pill for 14 days. It did nothing and by now they were enormous. The sides of his tongue and the roof of his mouth were cover in warts.

Back he went to the vets and was given another 14 day supply. I'd really lost hope and now 2 of my other foster dogs had them.

Well after an additional 10 days I started to notice they were no longer hanging out of his lip. It seemed like over night they were disappearing. I'll post photos later.
