It's normal behavior for a mouse to freeze when it sees a predator (you ), so it may be okay to release now. If the paw has stopped bleeding and is moving around okay, I think I'd just let it go.

Is this is a wild mouse or a pet mouse? If it's a wild mouse, let it go outside a little distance from the house or it'll just come back in. If it's a pet, it should be okay to put back in it's cage.
