You shouldn't touch the mouse with your bare hands it will leave your sense on it and this could cause other mice to reject it once you do release it in the wild When you clean the cut use a Q tip that been dipped in warn water and dry it a with clean Q tip. Can the mouse walk OK , I would think once the cut had started to heal and not bleeding anymore you should let it go.
