Question aggressive 16 yr old female cat attacking kitten

I moved back in with my parents for a while, and when I lived on my own I got a kitten to keep me company. Having only moved back 3 weeks ago, we have two old cats, and a dog for my cat to get used too.

The Kittens name is Mew, and shes doing fine with our dog and our older male cat. Our older female cat, Gemmie, has dialed up her aggression to 12, and has taken to attacking Mew around 2-4 times a day (and for the remainder of the day watching my room where the kitten sleeps). Had to gate off my room just so Mew has her own space.

Gemmie is 16 going on 17, and Mew is only 8 or 9 months old. For about a week this has been going on, but only after the most recent attack where we found a fluffy clump of stomach hair from Mew have I taken more action

Too explain what I would like out of this, I hope to find a way to alleviate or even stop Gemmies aggression without alienating either cat. I also understand this isn't something I can solve in a day, but I don't want Mew too be stuck in my room until Gemmie passes away.
