It happened at night during a bad snow storm we were having and she had a hard time finding a vet that would come down fast to look at the cat I think it made it worse having to see and hear the cat for 2 or more hours before it could be treated. I talked to her tonight, and although I think she knows she had to do it, she wishes she could have had time to think it out. Both hers and her mothers hands are swollen from the cat biting them, and that cat was the most gentle thing, never would have done that normally. I told her that proves it had to be done, the poor thing was in such terrible agony.
