There is no way in heck I would enroll an 8 week old puppy in a class with other puppies. An 8 week old puppie is way too susceptible to way to many things to be in contact with other dogs you know nothing about. Any responsible vet will tell you to limit contact with other dogs until your puppy has had all of it's shots.
While I am glad that all of the breeders you talked to told you that it was just fine to take your puppy from it's family at 6 weeks of age. How handy that is just the time you can go get it. Most behaviorists will tell you that removing a puppy from it's litter before 8 weeks of age is not good for the dog's future mental health. But hey, I am sure your breeder knows what they are talking about.
