Thank you both for the compliments! They are great dogs, good looks and unique personalities lol
There is a travelling vet that goes to 1-2 communities up here, however in the town that I live in, we have been lucky enough to establish a phenomenal relationship with the vet college down south, and have been hosting spay/neuter and wellness clinics twice a year for the past few years. It's amazing- they come up for 4 days with a team of 30 vets, techs, assistants, students and an anesthesiologist, and transform the community hall into an operating theatre. It's quite spectacular, we are so fortunate to have gotten to this point, and are really starting to notice the impact it's making on the community in terms of education, awareness, advocacy, people taking better care and responsibility of/for their pets, and of course the dog and cat population overall. This is a reality due to the hard work of a non profit humane society (I have sat on their board of directors for about a year now) that has been pushing forward through all the challenges in northern communities for a few years now!
