Smile Thank you!

Thanks all, for posting your concern for Aja!

She was only brought to the emergency clinic because in Edmonton it is the place to drop off found/stray pets after the city animal control office closes up shop at 6pm. She was found right around 6pm, very close to home, which is also very close to dense traffic (rush hour, to boot!). I was so busy trying to find her and feeling horribly anxious that I didn't think to call the clinic until it was quite late at night.

My family is very grateful that she was taken out of harm's way, examined at the clinic, given a clean bill of health, and fed dinner. She was in great shape (except for being pretty anxious to see me and get the heck out of there).

We're making sure that her collar&tags stay on and that we do some more training to return when we call her and to stay inside the door unless invited out. She's been an important part of our lives for close to 5 years, and we've never had a scare like that. Call it a lesson learned.

All the best to everyone else out there looking for their furry friends! May they all return home safe and sound.

Warm wishes,
Trace
