Masha- I have read and LOVED all the books you mentioned. Hillarious, pee-your-pants funny for sure. I remember while I was reading Me Talk Pretty, I would read parts of it aloud to DH- even though he's not a reader, it was enough to spark his interest and he LOVED it!
BM- I think you would really like Diana Gabaldon. she has a whole series of juicy books about time travel/ mystery/ love.... very addicting.
And I realize this is kinda off-topic (
not as OT as the ChiaPet 
) but I think you would LOVE the TV series True Blood- it's like Twilight but much more... ahem... mature!!!
