It should be easy enough to monitor any damage done to the foil layer, shouldn't it? My concern would be that they'd rip the foil off and accidentally ingest it. They really wouldn't have any reason to, but that doesn't mean they might not do it.
(Certainly, our dogs would, but setters are more known for their beauty than their brains, much as it pains me to admit it!
