Another game to play in the house when it's very cold is to hide tasty treats around the house, under things, on top of things, behind things...let him exercise his nose to find them!
Just don't forget where you hid them!
You can even train him to indicate there's a treat there, too--make him sit when he finds one, then give him a command to release him to get the treat. Good mental stimulation!
