This is an odd request. I have been accepted into the 2012 Vet Tech program here and I am currently working on getting some funding to cover my tuition. The progam that offers the funding requires that I do some research into positions that I could aquire after my education.
I have emailed and dropped off the questions to about 20 clinics & zoos and have so far, in a months time, gotten 5 responses... I need 10.
Thats why I am here writing this thread. Is there anyone on this forum that works within a clinic/zoo/rescue that is aware of the hiring requirements and general job details of any position suitable for a registered vet tech?
The information I need is as follows:
Position of Interest - Name of Company - Name of Contact person - Qualifications Required - Salary Range - Experience Required - Schools Recognized - Job Prospects/Labour Market (This is in regards to the position in general, and not limited to the company) - Opportunities for Advancement
If anyone can help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it. Please PM me as I am not sure how much a company would appreciate having its hiring requirements and salaries posted for all to see.
