I have 4 cats and 4 crates but if I had more it would be something I'd do. I do have a dog crate that's for a large dog, so if need be, I'd just toss them all in it and drag it outside.

I've never had luck with covered boxes. Nino sometimes insists on using the smallest litter box and sometimes his butt hangs over and he poops outside the box. Maybe turn the box around?

Awww so cute, little pink pups! I'm getting Nino shaved and hopefully bathed this week. Don't know about the bath part yet, hopefully he'll let them :) They look like velvet!

I tried that Blue kitty litter. Did not like at all, it's walnut shells and very hard to tell clean from dirty and it stains. Some things just aren't meant to be kitty litter I think.
