Digital Antennas
Anybody here (Canada preferably) use one of these and what kind of channels can you get? I'm cutting my cable back to basic as there seems to be more and more stupid shows coming on, which I really can't see paying to watch. I live in a small city, 60000 or so and as long as I can get ctv and cbc I'm pretty happy. Anything else I can just watch on the computer.

I know when a friend tried to get one she couldn't because it was line of sight and she was the wrong side of a big hill. Something to check out for.

You can also get a fair amount of CBC and CTV from their websites...
My wife and I have had zero channels for about 18 months now - and we are getting smarter  We do have netflix Canada at 8 bucks a month, which is okay for documentaries and other ancient movies and TV shows. |
I love Netflix, make sure you have a big plan on your internet though. I wish I could get out of cable, it's ridiculously priced........ My husband likes all the nature and history HD shows so I could never cancel. I thought that they were getting away from "Antennas" you can no longer pick up signals?.

All we have is antennas. We can get the local affiliates for NBC and ABC. That gives us 5 channels of crap as opposed to 70+ channels of crap when we used to live in a cable area. Frankly, we don't miss it. :o

Thanks everybody but then I realized we live in the low part of town, surrounded by hills so the inside antenna probably won't work too well.
