So the dry food is safe so their site says.. but i'm uneasy about it still.
i have a 40lb bag never open from petsmart its the large breed puppy lamb & rice. Should i take it back and see if they will let me switch it for a different brand and if so what brand should i get?

Just in my opinion, if it has wheat gluten listed as an ingredient, I would take it back and try to get Canidae.

Take it back for sure! As for what to get I am not of much help, as I don't go to petsmart and am not familiar with the brands they carry.

Theres no wheat in it at all there is rice gluten though.

Even without being part of the recall, Nutro isn't the best food out there...:o

Oh, and the best lamb and rice ones out there are probably Canidae lamb and rice, and Innova Evo RM (but it has more than just lamb and has no rice).

I would take it back and get canadie.i've used nutro,canadie and innova.never will i use nutro again.

i dont think petsmart sells Canidae. do they?

Yeah, theres one down the road from me. but i don't know how petsmart works.
so i don't know if they will give me my money back or just store credit.

Well i know petsmart here if you have your bill, you can exchange, return or get a refund.

How about giving them a call? that way you know where you stand before you make a trip in.
