It was very unexpected, I always thought she'd be around forever. I took her in to the vet 2 months ago for wheezing. The vet said it was asthma. No big deal, depomedrol would help. I took her home and she was fine and went from fine to worse. She stopped eating and drinking and started eliminating outside of her litter box. She started wheezing bad. They did xrays and saw something in her lungs. Long story short, she came home for 2 weeks on meds. She spent one night at the clinic and when she came home she seemed much better. But the meds didn't help her completely- I then knew for sure she was terminally ill. She had a lung tumour. We went back to be re-xrayed, but I already knew there was no need for it - and so did the vet. The tumours had in 2 weeks, spread into her tummy. Although the meds were keeping her eating, that was all. I knew I had a difficult deecision to make - and I wasn't prepared. But i did what i had to do for her. She was such a special little girl - she was afraid of most everyone but me, and Copper and Zoe. She knew who her family was and that's all she cared about! What a girl! RIP my sweet little CJ aka Miss Miserable lol - that's what people always said - she looks miserable! It was her thing! lol |
Oh my I feel so sad for you. It is so hard to put down a beloved pet, but you did the right thing by letting her go. :grouphug: :grouphug:
