TNR in Montreal I need Help
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know of any TNR (Trap - Neuter - Release) programs in Montreal? I need to get some stray/feral/alley cats spayed/neutered. I have about 7 coming to feed and find shelter on my back patio. I really want to help them, but when I call the city, everyone seems not to know and keep putting me on hold, telling me to call the number that refered me to them (!), or simply 'dont know". I have a humane trap and am willing to trap the cats for TNR, but there seems to be no solution... Please help me! sandyrivers |
What a big heart you have SR. :goodvibes:
I don't have the info you need, but I'm emailing someone who may be in the know and I'll post back if I get a reply. |
Thank you
Thank you so much Marko!
I really need to get these cats neutered/spayed before the cold days, as to avoid them breeding in the spring and have more kittens who will end up in the same situation. Even if it's a low cost clinic, that would be great. The vets here charge the same price for a feral/stray cat as for a house cat, no rebates whatsoever. they need to get the first shots (65$) and come back 2 weeks later for the spay/neuter and booster. Which adds up to over 400$. I do have a big heart, but a very thin wallet! I simply cannot afford to TNR all these cats sandyrivers |
Have you tried contacting the SPCA? They seem to have a TNR program:

SCM beats me with the info :o :D
I just received the same contact person and email address from someone I know at the SPCA...so I least I can vouch that it's current :p "Cathy Mann who runs our community programs at csr.tnr.spca@gmail.com and Cathy will be able to guide her." I hope it can help you :goodvibes: |
Oh thank you so much!
Wow!
I really want to thank you both for the info. This is great news for the cats indeed! I will contact Cathy Mann on Monday and see what can be done for the cats in my alley! I will make sure to let you know what came out of our conversation! If this program works and I can help trap the cats, it will be 'raining cats' from my alley for sure! Thank you both for caring as well :thumbs up |
