Exporting Pets to China and how they are treated in Quarantine

Hi everyone,

I need to know if anyone here has either experienced international travel with pets and quarantine in China first-hand, or knows someone who has?

I ask this because I am planning on relocating to China for a job, and don't want to leave my cat and dog behind. I have been reading some people's accounts of their experiences online, and have come across some real horror stories of how their dog was 'lost' or sent to another country, etc...! Not to mention, how it was treated by the Airline staff.. specifically, Air Canada the animals were not given any food, water, or a chance to relieve itself..etc...

I have also read some horrible things about how pets coming out of the quarantine are returned to their owner in shockingly poor condition!

I am really hoping someone hear has some positive things to say about all of this, either from first-hand experience, or from someone they know..

Thanks in advance for your reply:)
