Tuna for cats

Do you give you cats tuna? If so how much and when? In oil or water? My cat loves tuna but I only give it to him as a special treat.

I would not feed a pet a lot of tuna as is has salt in it and too much salt is bad for pets. And there is mercury in tuna , it is not sad to give it to a child too often for this reason so it can't be that great for a cat all the time.

I give it to the dogs from time to time a couple of times a year. but only give the one with water.

Right, I know that it is not great for them. I only give it to them for birthdays or special occassions.
