Strange bald spot
2 Attachment(s)
My boyfriend and I took in a very tiny little Siamese kitten a few days ago. We took the kitten to the vet and we found out he is about 6 weeks old. For being born a ferrel cat he only had fleas and ear mites (and possibly worms but he was given a dewormer). However, there was a spot found on the baby cat near the top of his left back leg. We don't know what it is and the vet wasn't 100% sure either. Help?

Awww, thanks for looking after this little guy.
We don't know what it is and the vet wasn't 100% sure either. Help?
Did the vet suggest any tests to try to diagnose it? Ringworm is a common condition in cats with compromised immune systems, and because it can be contagious, I would want to get to the bottom of that strange patch as soon as possible. http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/cat-care/ringworm.aspx In the meantime, a good diet is the best way to a healthy kitten so depending on what you're feeding him now, you may want to switch to the highest quality meat-based wet food (canned or raw) that you can afford. The vet said it could be ringworm, but then he said it doesn't look like a typical ringworm case. He gave us an antifungal cream to give him for a few weeks and we have to keep him quarantined :( We're living on a budget and fixing to move so the vet said because the test takes so long to get back to just treat him for it and be safe. Thank you!
