Rat Food Suggestions
Hi, I am looking to get back into rats after about 8 years. Im having trouble finding rat feed in the area. I have been looking online at feeding a mix and other things and have seen people feeding their rats horse feed. I am thinking about doing this myself. I would like to mix it with a graid diet as well suck as the RWS.
Here is what i have found. Please let me know what you think. Regal Rat: Protein Min: 15% Fat Min: 4% Fiber Max: 7% Calcium Min: .8% Phosphorous Min: .8% The horse feed I feed my horses: Protein Min: 16% Fat Min: 5% Fiber Max: 8% Calcium Min: 1% Phosphorous Min: .7% |
Please do not feed your rats horse feed. There are certain things they cannot digest, such as alpha-alpha and other items that are generally in horse feed.
Regal Rat AKA Oxborn is THE BEST rat food you can buy. It has the perfect amount of protein and vitamins needed for adult rats. They also have a baby rat food too. A rat's diet should be 80% rat food and 20% fruit and veggies. Make sure you do your research on what fruits and veggies they can and cannot eat as well.
|
