23 Kittens 5 mother cats

I just received a phone call about a women who took in five pregnent cats, they all gave birth at the same time. The women now has 23 kittens and 5 mother cats she no longer can keep.

The kittens are six weeks old, I have no pictures, may get some in the near future.

If anyone interested in adopting kittens or the mother cats please contact me.

I wish I could :(

Unfortunately if I grabbed another cat my parents would have an assassin sent after me....

I hope that you find places for all of these kitties :fingerscr :goodvibes:

That truly sucks poodletalk. I hope they all find homes. Aside from the obvious sadness of so many kittens being born, it would be super cute to be surrounded by so much fuzzy fur.

chico2 May 8th, 2007 04:03 PM

OMG Poodletalk, that makes 28 cats/kittens,how are you ever going to find homes for them all, still :fingerscr

Again, I wish I was closer!!! Gawd, that poor woman - and very kind woman too!! A true kitty angel but she needs mega help!!! You are also an  for helping her!

Kittens and cats

A rescue in Montreal will be taking couple of kittens, a lady near my work will also be taking couple of kittens and I am working on couple of other foster homes.

The house where the kittens and cats are is a disaster, it's not a good situation at ALL.

I should be getting pictures this week.

Frenchy May 14th, 2007 03:13 PM

Gosh I wish I could help. But I shouldn't take anymore fuzzbutts right now. Good luck finding those kitties foster homes :goodvibes:

Pics of kittens

We were able to pull 15 kittens from this desperate situation. When these kittens get adopted, we will be able to go back and get the rest. The batttery in my digital camera died, some of the pictures are very dark.

If anyone wants to adopt kittens, please contact me.

Aww Poodletalk, first thank you for doing all you can for these little lives,I sooo wish I could drive down and take a couple:sad:
Good Luck, they are so lucky to have been found by people who care..

Rottielover May 17th, 2007 05:50 PM

chico, I will be going up to orono last weekend in may :)

chico2 May 18th, 2007 07:13 AM

Rottielover, thank's for offering, I would have no trouble driving to Quebec if I could get 2 kittens.
Unfortunately there is no way we can have more cats:sad:
My vet has 2 little kittens,a black one and a black/white one+an older cat who was dumped together with a companion, because of a new baby.
The orange one was adopted and the black 6yr old cat left alone in the cage,if I would take any cat,it would be him,but I cant:sad:

Just a quick update, the lady who had the pregnant cats has more pregnant cats now and probably already gave birth.

When some of the other kittens have been adopted, we will pull the cats and kittens out of her house which is a complete dump!

The lady didn't have enough food for the orginal pack, 5 cats and 23 kittens she was giving them pasta and porriage to eat! We gave her alot of food for the new pack and we are hoping for the best.

Good news though, one of the orange kittens have been adopted along with a brown tabby.

If anyone wants a cat or a kitten, please let me know!

Poodletalk,OMG what a mess,I am glad you and others are involved.
Is this lady a hoarder??
She probably has her heart in the right place, but is overwhelmed both financially and mentally:confused:
 for the kittens and their moms:pray:

Poodletalk, can someone make up a poster with contact info? I'd like to help put some up. I'd be willing to contribute to the spaying of the mother cats when they're ready as well. Maybe other members in the area can help distribute posters too?

papillonmama June 2nd, 2007 08:11 AM

OMGosh, what a desperate situation. I have no car, as I've said before, I wish we were closer.

All I can do is send my best wishes that the little ones find good homes quickly. I so wish I could do more

poodletalk June 2nd, 2007 08:58 AM

The lady is not a hoarder, she live out in the farm area of the SouthShore, the cats come on her property and she takes them inside her house.

She diffently has some problems, to live in such a filthy house, with all those animals running loose gaving birth all over her home and feeding them pasta.

She means well, but she has lost fouced and rescue groups had to step in.

Frenchy June 2nd, 2007 10:33 AM

omg  I don't know how many there are to spay / neuter but maybe an organisation I know would be able to help with the cost. They deal with 3-4 vets and they all are on south shore.

rainbow June 10th, 2007 12:02 AM

What a sad situation this is. I hope everything works out for all the kitties. :fingerscr :goodvibes: :goodvibes:

poodletalk June 10th, 2007 06:21 AM

Frenchy, I just saw your post! Can you please pm me the name of the organization?

Boubou June 10th, 2007 09:15 PM

sterilizing cats

The Bond Foundation is always there to help with low cost spay and neuter. They do have a website.

When I have stray cats spayed I go to a vet in Chambly. The price for males is $55 and females $90 (tx. incl.) - not too bad.

Hope this helps.....

rainbow June 10th, 2007 11:16 PM

Good luck with all these little ones and keep us posted. :fingerscr :goodvibes: :goodvibes:
