Dr Paul Pion, DVM, DACVIM
Dr Pion was asked to be the keynote speaker at the ACVIM 2010 conference. This is the vet who was instrumental in discovering the importance of taurine to cat heart health and he talks about how the discovery was made. But he also touches on how our environment, our support groups, our decisions, and our attitudes help to shape our lives. He is also one of the founders of the VIN (Veterinary Information Network) and he talks about that as well.
Well worth the watch if you have the time. It's in a slide show format so there is a slight pause between slide changes (at least when viewing by DSL). http://www.vin.com/apputil/Misc/Default.aspx?id=16253 |

ill be sure to watch! |
I had the slight pause between slides too, Hazel.
I just love his attitude, especially that experts can't know everything! That, to me makes for a great scientist who has an open mind to discover new things. :thumbs up |
I liked his comments on nutrition, too. :D Lots of different messages in his speech that apply to so many different facets of life!
