Evolve wet cat food

I need some imput because I am a cat food idiot.......trying to learn better.

I had changed my two over to Precise wet food, and they both loved it. I was having good results with it, plus both of the cats would eat it. So I went to the pet store today and they informed me that the distrubtor was no longer dealing with them and they were the only place I could find that carried this brand.

So the lady said that Evolve was a new brand they were selling, and it was close to the Precise. Personally I ewwed a bit because fruits and veggies were right up in the first ingrediants. Don't know why so much fruit and veggies need to be in a cat's diet.....but I could be wrong. Like I said, not an expert in this.

So have anyone heard of this kind? Is it a good food to try? I am dreading going through food change again. Here's the link, there were a couple ingrediants I have never heard of before

I ended up bringing home three kinds of Prarie Homestyle to try. Fruits and veggies were on the bottom of ingrediants. I know my two aren't that keen to blueberries and peas floating in their wet food.

Thanks for any input...I am learning slowly but surely

Evolve isn't a bad food, and the fruits/veggies don't make up a huge proportion because the overall carb content is decent (under 10%). Hopefully your kitties like it.

If your store carries the Prairie Homestyle food, do they also carry Nature's Variety Instinct? That's another good option and it's grain-free.

My store carries it. Not a top seller though from what I've seen.

Personally, I've bought the canned a few times and my cats seemed to like it. Nothing to go crazy over though.

Thanks Sugarcatmom. Maybe I will try a can or two, the only thing is they have no beef flavour and that is what Phoebe likes to eat. I also noticed that they have fish in each kind and neither of mine are all that crazy for fish, unless it is a can of real tuna.

Amos gobbled down the Homestyle last night, I bummed because it wasn't a pate and didn't think they would eat it. Usually the kind with chunks and gravy the only thing that gets eaten is the gravy. Bee didn't touch it, she ended up stealing a chunk of pork chop from the dogs dish.

That store only carries Merrick ( which didn't fly with my two), Evolve, Praire Homestlye and Nature's Variety ( that one they are charging 4.09 a small can, just a little pricey for me especially when most of the flavours get a snub). I tried the Go!Natural from another pet store, but they only had two flavours and neither one would eat it.

And thanks Kathryn for the info too!
