A pilot project from 2010-2011, Beaufort Dog Park was recently inducted into Nanaimo's dog parks in March 2011. A quiet park in central Nanaimo, Beaufort Dog Park is partially fenced and enjoys shade from the mature trees scattered around the park.

While there is a pick-up bag dispenser and a garbage can, patrons of the park may want to bring their own water, as there is no water access in the park itself.

A two acre fenced, grassy and gravel dog park, complete with fire hydrants especially for the dogs.

Great trail, a little hard to find but perfect for dogs. no interference from non-dog owners. too bad they're putting a huge development there :(

From 6 AM to 10 AM, early risers and their dogs can enjoy the lower lake trails of Colliery Dam Park. This is one of two dog park areas that have water access. Wildlife abounds in the area, so off leash recall is imperative.

Parking is located along Nanaimo Lakes Road. Pick-up bags can be had from the dispenser near the parking area and there is a garbage can there as well.

Diver Lake Park is one of two Nanaimo Dog Park areas that have water access. A sports field in the summer, Diver Lake Park is open to dogs and their owners in the winter.

This is a 3 kilometer trail, the middle kilometer of which is designated 'off leash'. Be prepared to walk a kilometer with your dog on leash to get to it as the off leash area is on the far side of the lake.
